Privacy and cloud storage

Editing on your device
You can edit without signing in. The editor processes documents in your browser. Opening a file does not upload it to cloud storage. Cloud upload happens when you choose Save in Cloud documents. Browser recovery copies and editor resources are stored on your device; clearing browser site data removes them.
Your account
We use your email to send one-time sign-in codes and associate your personal workspace with your account. Cloudflare provides email delivery, application hosting, account database and file storage. Secure cookies keep you signed in; account tokens are not stored in local storage. Sign-in requests use hashed address and network identifiers for rate limiting.
Free cloud storage
Free accounts have 100 MB total storage (100,000,000 bytes), including retained versions and uploads in progress. Each uploaded version expires independently seven days after its upload is committed, including the latest version. Opening a file or saving a newer version does not renew an older version. Expired versions cannot be downloaded. Keep permanent copies on your device.
Export and deletion
In Account, export account and document metadata as JSON and download unexpired editable cloud versions. Account deletion requires a recent sign-in and email confirmation. It immediately revokes sessions and cloud access. File erasure starts after a 15-minute settling period; scheduled cleanup retries interrupted work. Account metadata is removed after file deletion is confirmed. Downloaded files and local browser recovery copies are not remotely erased.
Operational records
Expired sign-in challenges and sessions, temporary email-send counters, and security activity are cleaned up on a schedule. Deleted data may remain in infrastructure recovery backups until their retention window ends. Restoring a backup requires reapplying deletion requests before reopening access. PhotoCraft does not sell your cloud documents or use them for model training.
